We all love Snow in some fashion or another. Some like it everywhere and some just like it on the mountains. But hopefully no one is stuck in the past and still likes listening to it!
We are masters of the unsaid words, but slaves of those we let slip out. ~Winston Churchill

Snow Day Fun
This morning I woke up to snow on the ground and snow still falling from the clouds. I was overcome with such beauty, that I wondered how I could best show my love for the snow. I thought hard, and I thought long, then I drove the kids to the bus.
So I drank a glass of water, stood by the fire, and slowly took off every garment that touched my body. I was nervous, but took strength in the knowledge that I shower without cotton. I jumped to the door, grabbed the handle and ran into the precious white powder. But the feeling that this was not enough slipped into my thoughts. I had to do something more to show my great joy for the crystals so I performed the most natural, unashamed, creation known to man and woman. I created a perfect Snow Angel. The feeling of cold overwhelmed my skin and my mind filled with multiple colours and severe pain. Than the sound of snow hitting my body could be felt, it was like no other feeling. First it was light, than it progressed to larger thumps and cracks. This was odd because the snow around me was still falling from heaven lightly. I popped my head up and the perfect unadulterated moment between me and the snow became something ugly and embarrassing.
There on the mansion balcony was my mother in law yelling, “What in the world are you doing? God created the perfection of snow and you are turning it into a scary Stephen King movie.” I wasn’t sure what she meant by this, but I didn’t think this was the best time to ask. After our brief interaction I realized where the larger snowflakes were coming from. She packed it in her manicured hands and without blinking, threw that weapon of mass destruction right at me. I could be wrong but I think she was aiming at my strategic military base located in the no fly zone.
Realization kicked in quickly, that my addiction for the snow had overcome my sound judgement. I scrambled to the cabin, crying for mercy and forgiveness, and laid on the couch with the unending feeling of brain freeze pounding on my head and the gut wrenching feeling of, “how am I ever going to talk to my mother in law again!”

Sexy
Your hair is stringy
the dog steals my blanket
the cat meows with delight
I look at you
you smile at me
and drool runs from your night guard
Your hottie status rises
my blood starts to boil
as you squeeze death out on my pimples
You plead for more
I scream of horror
and night falls upon us sweetly.

Smack That
This blog is actually not about smacking anything. I just really wanted to use that saying.
A follow up to the "My Wife's Hair" blog, she has decided to go with the Lopsided Mop because it reminds her of the pure joy she feels when she is cleaning the house and moping the floors. I encouraged her by saying, "you have to go with what inspires you!"
After 2 years of planning and hard work, today I actually got to put all that school to practice as I went into a dental office as a dental hygienist. I only saw 3 patients and worked 3.5 hours, but it was truely exciting. I was a little nervous setting up and seating my first patient but after it was all said and done I can't wait for the next time I get to go to work.
I was surprised today when I got home because Ang had started decorating for Christmas. I love Christmas time, I never get sick of the music or old shows, and I love getting together with friends and family. We have also been getting snow and this hightens the excitment to the arrival of Christmas.
Tonight Angie and I went for a romantic date. We strolled through many stores, and giggled like school children. The weather was freezing outside, but our hearts were filled with warmth and love. To just be together alone in the big city of Kamloops was awesome. I love my wife no matter what and look forward to our next date night together. After shopping we spent time at our favorite place... ABC Restaurant. We sipped our water and coffee and gazed lustfully into eachothers eyes. After that, the lustful date night fell apart as we picked up Angie's sister. She wouldn't let us park on the side of the highway and make out.
Now we sit in bed...

My Wife's Hair
I have just a little bit of time in my life at the moment so I decided to do a loving and caring thing for my wife... help her in her desire for a new hairstyle and google search images. Her face filled with joy and heart felt tears as I told her of the idea, so the following are hairstyles that will not just change the look of a woman but score some crazy brownie point for me, her husband.
The Posh
For the past years she has been residing with "The Posh," except she has been throwing in bangs. When I was in Toronto I mentioned to her that I would love to see her bangs grown out. To my surprise she has been doing this but there is contempt in her voice now because she is growing tired of them. The following will be generally short cuts but I am trying to stay away from bangs and "The Posh."
The Mohawk
This is more radical in a cut, but I believe she is at a point of major change. This would reveal her fun loving side and show that she is a rebel at heart. Many night when I come to bed I actually hear her listening to the Pixies, the Sex Pistols, classic Green Day and Iggy Pop on YouTube.
The Lopsided Mop
Dressy, yet relaxed, I believe this style would reveal her as a serious person with a crazy person sneaking her way out. This cut does have bangs but really only on the oneside of the face... I can dig that! I think she would find that she could diversify her look to whatever life throws at her and she would get a lot of attention in a small town.
Platinum Pixie
Nothing say hard a** like Pink stylin' the Pixie cut. My wife did love Pink, at one point, so when I saw this it only made sense. The long bangs are present, which I like, yet the hair is short which she would like for work. She would have to change her attitude a little to fit the hairstyle, but people around her would give her no crap!
Goose Wing
The "Goose Wing," is a little more out of the box for my wife but I thought I would throw it into the mix. Not sure if it is really a day to day kind of cut, but more of a glamour cut for night out or for a person who lives in a mansion and is a "Real House Wife."
Jumbo Curl
Before we were even dating, I remember my wife sporting the gigantic curls and I must say they really looked good on her. It is a drastic change from her norm,' so perm it up and bring back the curls!
Bangs Gone Bad
Yes, clearly there are bangs there but maybe it is the fact that they are a different colour that is somewhat appealing. This would be another stretch for her to get, but it is an idea. I don't think I would like it if she walked around all the time with a pouty look on her face.
Red Flare
This is not a big change on the normal style she likes to get but enhanced with the red colour I would be thumbs up for this. Without a doubt she can wear the dark colours like red in her hair and no one would be scared by it.
The Highlight Swoop
Although it looks great, I know right now that my wife would get very frustrated trying to style this everyday and she would doubt why she got it cut this way. I would not push this cut and in return save my ears from hearing about it until she got her next hair cut. : )
The Uneven Part
Highlights, Swooping bangs, and a short cut! I always really like this. It can look professional, fun, and dressy. This one has her name written all over it...
As a great and supportive husband I realize that the haircut she gets will clearly be her choice, or strongly influenced by her sisters opinion.. haha! And I will love her just the same no matter what she does end up getting done... but she better not mess to much with the bangs! LOL

Actors
As an up and coming actor I am continually sharpening my acting skills by learning from my favourite top 5 actors. They define the great abiliy to take a role and transform it into something magical and some may say mind blowing.
Tom Hanks
A man that is not resound for his amazing good looks in hollywood, but he continues to make good judement calls staying out of the social spot light and making good films. Three films that stick with me are: Big, Forest Gump, and You've Got Mail (This one I watch at least 2 times a year).Leonardo Dicaprio
In comparison to Tom, this man has had a long career of being adored by the ladies. I find that he has the great skill to overwhelm the audience with his characters. You almost forget that he is the one playing the role. Three movies I enjoy of his are: Romeo and Juliet, Catch Me if You Can (Which also features Tom Hanks), and Inception (This was soo good I had to see it 3 times).
Ben Stiller
If you have ever wanted to watch a awkward interview of a hollywood actor, than you need to watch one of Ben Stiller. He almost seems out of place and his on screen humour just doesn't come across as funny when he tries it live. Despite this I do find his movies to be funny and full of creativity. Three movies are: Zoolander, Meet the Fockers, Starsky and Hutch, and an added one: Dodgeball!
Adam Sandler
If I were to be a comedian, I would like to be Sandler. He turns the simplest things into outlandish creations that can not help but be laughed at: from his days at SNL to Happy Gilmour, The Wedding Singer, and Bedtime Stories. But I think that his real amazing movie was, when he played a dentist who's family died in the 9/11 attacks, in Reign Over Me. He showed that comedy was not his only trick up his sleeve.
This last position is a hard one to fill. I have rambled through my mind and names that have come up are: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Clint Eastwood, Bill Murray, Alec Baldwin, and Ed Norton. But I have decided to go with my favourite at the moment. An actor that has been able to become a small screen and big screen comedian...
Steve Carell
As a creepy, annoying, and lovable boss on TV's The Office to movies such as, Dan in Real Life and Date Night I always get a kick out of Carell's work. I must admit I think he did get some facial work done from Season 1 of The Office to season 2. His hair became thicker, his chin squarer and he lost some unwanted roundness.

TIME HAS COME FOR THEM
The troubles that arise from life
They ride my mind
They weaken my heart
But time has come for them
I will not let them hold me down
I will not be their friend
I will not hold their hand
Because time has come for them
The dust may fly
As rugs are turned
And stomachs may purge with fear
But time has come for them
I will not let the tide that binds
The fear that hides, the blocks that grow
Tear away at life around
Because time has come for them
The ripples continue to cause trouble
The hurt continues to grow
The crust wishes to crust deeper
But my time has come for them now!
They ride my mind
They weaken my heart
But time has come for them
I will not let them hold me down
I will not be their friend
I will not hold their hand
Because time has come for them
The dust may fly
As rugs are turned
